Month overview and focus points- February
This month is about seizing opportunity.
We will try to make incremental gains in every aspect of the sport. We have laid down a physical foundation that should enhance our ability to see gains from drills/workouts that include no-pole classic, and skate, downhill stability and V2 power hops. These drills should enhance speed, efficiency and stability. We will mix the drills with some Vo2 max work, speeds, and some tempo early. Eventually we will taper as states nears, keeping speed and efficiency in play till the end.
Our efforts are greatly impacted by proper recovery, rest, diet and outside influencers that create stress. It is important to take all aspects of preparation into consideration within your decision making, as each decision could impact performance, eligibility, health, etc.
Your most memorable moments in life are often shared moments made possible by reaching for common goals. The power of doing something for or within a group you believe in often elevates what you would otherwise do alone.
