Top 10 individuals
Top 3 relay teams
Top 2 overall teamsRules
The meet follows the 2025-26 VPA Nordic Guide and the International Ski Federation’s International Competition Rules where necessary. Coaches should familiarize themselves and athletes with the full set of rules, but some important clarifications are below:
VPA Rule 518 Uniforms: competition uniforms will consist of school approved, full length long- or short-sleeved tops so that all team members are dressed in the same school colors. No singlets allowed.
ICR 343.5: Competitors must wear/use all the means of identification (bibs, leg bibs, transponders, GPS…) provided by the organizer.
ICR 343.6: Competitors must follow the marked course in the correct sequence from start to finish and must pass all control points.
ICR 343.6.1: If competitors skis on a wrong section or leaves the marked course, the competitor should return to the point where the error was made. In order to do so, the competitor may have to ski against the correct ski direction and shall be totally responsible for ensuring that there is no obstruction and that other competitors are not endangered.
The only sanctioning recourse available to the jury is disqualification from the results. The jury will meet to address any rules violations. The general decision making process of the jury is to address whether a violation occurred and, if so, did the violation provide advantage to the competitor or impede another competitor’s progress. Each rule violation is addressed individually and the athlete and coach in question have a right to address the jury. Please see the VPA Nordic Guide for the protest and appeals process.

Parking/Team areas
Buses can park in the main parking lot against the row of pines. Some will have to park by buildings
Teams can bring gear and set up camp between the parking lot and the stadium field.
electricity will be provided
Tailgating: Food tables can be set up in front of wax trailers. Please do not let food tables obstruct parking spaces or the parking lot access lane that needs to remain open for emergency vehicles, public transit, etc. Please reserve electrical service for waxing before and during races.
Families and spectators should expect to park in overflow parking on the other side of Route 125.
Bathrooms/Emergency Indoor Spaces
Yellow Barn
Athletes can use the yellow barn BUT please be courteous
We ask that teams not camp out in the Barn. It is open to the public ( and friends and families of course!) but when filled with bags and equipment, it fills to capacity rapidly. We will rope off an area to be kept open for a legally required Fire Lane at the back left and ask that that area be respected. Skiers are welcome to rest and relax, but to remember it isn't a locker room.
Team families who bring food for the teams are asked to either have a generator or use the power panels supplied along the wax tent line.
The wiring in the Barn is not set up for multiple crock pots of food plugged in at the same time. This causes the breaker to trip repeatedly. Rikert staff, once notified, then need to leave their job at the moment and locate the correct breaker box and reset it.
Please patrol your area after the races and pick up after your team
Bathrooms
Athletes are allowed in the Rikert Outdoor Center to use the bathroom until it closes at 4:30.
There are Port-o-Lets in the main parking area for all to use.
Athletes are not permitted in the Touring Center, except to use the bathrooms or purchase food or softgoods.
Bibs and Timing Chips
Bib pick up will be in the Barn (1st double doors on the parking lot side of the building).
A brown bag of bibs will come with a start list and a bib list for each team.
Please return bibs from scratched racers to the registration folks in the Barn.
Athletes will be using chips for timing. For several athletes this is their first time doing so. Please advise them to get to the start area early. Once in the start area they will not be allowed to leave.
Please return bibs when racers are done.
Athlete Warm up Areas
After the course closes, there are plenty of skiable trails to warm up on. There are plenty of natural covered trails accessible from the stadium area. Battell, with an entrance straight across the stadium field, is a solid choice. It is natural snow with a reasonable natural base.
Another option is for skiers to bring running shoes.
Spectator Information
Please be respectful of Rikert’s rules and leave dogs at home
Senior Posters
We encourage teams to bring poster/signs of their seniors and put them out on the trails for everyone to see and celebrate their accomplishments
Please take posters and signs home at the end of the day
